Job Description

Are you attracted to detail-oriented, analytical work that is deadline-driven, and you want to own it from start to finish?  

General Overview:  This position is primarily responsible for all analytical reporting needs of Company management.  This position will take ownership of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, calculation of key performance indicators, as well as analyzing and interpreting these outputs with respect to the affordable housing market.  The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with people skills.  The successful candidate will be effective in reconciling databases, researching issues, and completing detailed calculations in a timely manner.  

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Execute and coordinate accounting, finance, and general administrative activities.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal and external reporting.
  • Assist with developing key performance indicators relevant to the Company and the industry.
  • Demonstrate an ability to collect, review, and fully understand Company-provided data for analysis purposes.
  • Deliver timely and meaning financial information to the management team.
  • Assist with company budgeting, spending analysis, and a continued search for cost savings opportunities.
  • Assist with annual corporate audit and tax return preparation (Form 1065) for multiple pass-thru entities.
  • Work effectively with the internal teams by taking an interest in the affordable housing industry and inquiring about trends and processes to gain a full understanding of the business and future growth opportunities.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned. 

 Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or MBA a plus. Strong technology (Excel power user) and analytical skills, critical thinking, problem solving. Experience with Yardi or Ajera a plus.Minimum of 5 years of financial and operations analytics.
