We have a challenging opportunity for a General Manager to overview our Low Value Parcel Department! Job Summary: Reporting to the BGS US Vice President, this position will work primarily in support of the Diamond and Jewelry Brinks Connect / Low Value Parcel shipping operation. The position oversees and interacts with both our day to day domestic and international shipping customers and our key internal operations/customer service teams in fulfillment of all customer orders. The position ensures that the process initiated by Sales and concluded by our Field Operations team proceeds with efficiency and at the highest level of customer service. In addition, the position will focus on high level data analysis, process mapping and operations integration strategies with location leadership and the formulation of sales strategies in coordination with the D&J Sales team. Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership and direction to the specified strategic markets in both functional operations and business development activities. Responsible for product development and maintenance including identifying trends in product experience and making appropriate recommendations. Work with various departments in the structure and management of the operations roadmap related to the LVP process. Design and define all aspects of the LVP process. Identify, assess/validate, document and share best practices for LVP process standardization. Coordinate with affiliates, Finance, Sales and Operations all corresponding rates/pricing and monitor rate system to ensure that all customer information is up to date and accurate. Responsible for managing all Process Improvement efforts and work regularly through auditing and customer feedback to make process changes/streamline internal efforts. Monitor overall product performance Assist with the development of annual company and department business plans and pro-forma financial projections. At the direction of the BGS US Vice President or his/her designee will manage international and domestic shipping projects with a focus on increased divisional profitability and improved customer service. Travel to international and domestic customers to conduct training and product line implementation as needed. Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of seven (7) years of management experience Minimum of three (3) years of business development experience Minimum of two (2) years’ experience management profit & loss and key performance indicators Demonstrated track record of results and product implementation experience or transferrable internal BGS/Brinks experience in Sales/Operations or Customer Service. IT/Software Experience Experience managing the implementation of new products, business strategies Exceptional problem solver with the ability to transition between detailed data and high-level conclusion/recommendations. Experience interpreting data analytics to derive business insight and drive customer value. 21 years of age Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or related field. Proficiency with standard suite of Microsoft office applications, especially Excel Professional Skills High level of integrity where personal and professional values are aligned with the company’s mission, vision and leadership framework. Self-aware and self-motivated - comfortable operating with minimal direction and will thrive in a dynamic environment as a leader influencing change and transformation. Responsive performance driven.
